104 promoted officers decorated in Enugu; NCoS says promotion comes from God

The Nigerian Correctional Service has decorated 104 newly promoted officers in its Enugu command.
The decorated personnel included two deputy controllers of corrections, three assistant controllers of corrections and other senior officers down to the rank of inspectors.
Speaking before the decoration on Thursday in Enugu, the controller of corrections in Enugu, Nicholas Obiako, urged the decorated officers to justify their promotion by re-dedicating themselves to excellent and diligent service.
Mr Obiako stated, “Promotion comes from God Almighty. I call on anybody who missed his or her promotion to exercise a little patience, and by the grace of God, within the next year, by this time, you will be smiling with your new ranks.
“For the newly-promoted and newly-decorated officers, it is a call to higher responsibility, hard work and commitment to service. Your elevation is not for you to oppress the junior ones or for you to insult your superiors. So, humble yourself before God and man.”
