UPDATE: Scores trapped as 21-storey building collapses in Lagos

A 21-storey building has collapsed on Gerard Road, in the highbrow area of Ikoyi, Lagos.
Many persons are said to be trapped in the rubble of the collapsed structure which was under construction, per a report on Arise TV.
A video shared on Twitter claims the property owner whose name was given as Wale Bob was also on site when the structure came down.
Rescuers are searching for people trapped beneath the building, with the exact number of victims yet to be verified.
The Lagos state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the emergency responders are on ground to rescue victims.
“The agency has activated its emergency response plan to the above incident,” said the director-general of LASEMA, Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu. “All first responders are enroute to secure the scene while the heavy duty equipment and life detection equipment have been dispatched,” he added.
