Ukraine’s peace negotiations with Russia difficult: President Zelensky

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has described peace negotiations with Russia as “very difficult,” in a video message released on Wednesday.
“They are very difficult, sometimes scandalous, but we are moving forward step by step,” Mr Zelensky said.
He noted that Ukrainian representatives were negotiating tirelessly, “we can rest when we’ve won.”
Mr Zelensky added, “We will work; we will fight as much as possible until the end, brave and open.”
The president thanked the international community for supporting his country.
He hoped that three summits planned for this week by the G7, NATO, and the EU would lead to additional support.
Mr Zelensky expects new sanctions against Russia and new aid for Ukraine.
Both Ukraine and Russia claimed successes on the battlefield on Tuesday.
