Twitter announces Blue subscription service in U.S., New Zealand

Social media platform Twitter has released a new subscription service that will enable users to pay for features such as the ability to undo a tweet and read ad-free news articles.
The service called Twitter Blue, which started testing in Australia and Canada in June, rolled out in the United States and New Zealand on Tuesday and costs $3 per month.
Users can access Twitter Blue on the profile menu to enjoy early access to features the social media company is testing, such as uploading 10-minute videos and the ability to pin a conversation at the top of their direct messages.
The Undo Tweet feature will show subscribers a 30-second timer before tweets get posted so any typographical errors or any other mistakes can be corrected.
Twitter Blue also includes a few personalisation features such as themes, custom icons, and now, the ability to customise the app’s bottom navigation tab with Twitter features, including Twitter Spaces, Bookmarks, Top Articles, Lists, Monetisation, and others.
In addition to the other features, Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to read articles without advertisements from U.S. news sites such as Washington Post, USA Today, Atlantic, Daily Beast, Rolling Stone, BuzzFeed, Insider and Hollywood Reporter.
This feature will be enabled through Scroll, a subscription service that offers readers ad-free long-form content on the internet, and which Twitter acquired in May.
