Talk of Ronaldo leaving Juventus is gossip, not true: Allegri

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri Saturday dismissed rumours that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo could leave the club.
“He has always trained well. I just read the gossip in the papers, Allegri said in a press conference on Saturday, adding, “He never told us he wanted to leave.”
Allegri added that Ronaldo was missing in action on Thursday for the Italian side because he gave Ronaldo “half a day off.”
“Ronaldo didn’t play on Thursday because we were coming off a heavy training workload and I gave him half a day off,” said Allegri.
“Ronaldo is an added bonus for us because he guarantees a large number of goals. Obviously, we also have to work as a team to get the best out of an individual,” he said.
Ronaldo, 36, has one year left on his current contract with Juventus.
The five-time Ballon D’or winner had earlier slammed the media for spreading rumours about his possible return to Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain, saying it is disrespectful to him and the clubs involved.
