State of Emergency: Gov. Obiano meets Buhari in Aso Villa

President Muhammadu Buhari has met behind closed doors with Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is coming barely 24 hours after the Buhari regime threatened emergency rule as measures to check insecurity ahead of the November 6 election in the state.
Stakeholders in Anambra, led by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had raised alarm over the upsurge in cases of violent attacks on individuals and government facilities in Anambra as the governorship election in the state draws closer.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federal, Abubakar Malami, had warned on Wednesday that the regime might be forced to impose a state of emergency rule in Anambra should the security situation in the state persist.
Mr Obiano at the meeting was said to have updated Mr Buhari on security situations in Anambra to ensure a peaceful conduct of the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
