My brothers attacking police, killing people should please stop: Gov. Uzodinma

Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has begged “unknown gunmen” to stop the killings in Imo State and the entire South-East region.
The governor made the plea while speaking with BBC following his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday over the rising insecurity in the region.
Mr Uzodinma went to solicit Mr Buhari’s support to help stop the killings and destruction in his state, especially the recent razing of the house of Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader, George Obiozor.
“The president told me to come and brief him on all that was happening in not just Imo state but the entire Igbo land.
“We discussed actions to take to make the region better which is why I am pleading with my brothers and sisters, all our young men and women because I found out that there are some of them who don’t understand what we are doing.
“I am appealing to those who believe in tying charms around their waists and doing whatever they like, attacking police stations and killing people to fear God and to stop.”
