Mo Salah misses penalty as mid-table Leicester defeat Liverpool in EPL

Liverpool’s title race suffered another setback as they fell to Leicester City at King Power Stadium in the English Premier League game on Wednesday.
The Foxes bounced back from previous humiliating 6-3 defeat to Manchester City, grabbing all three crucial points from Liverpool a potential title contender.
Ndidi’s bad tackle on Mo Salah in the box earned Liverpool a penalty and the opportunity to take the lead in the 15th minute of the game, however, Schmeichel brilliantly saved Mo Salah’s penalty, leaving both teams with no goal into the first half break.
The Reds created more chances and dominated 63 per cent of ball possession in the game, but the home side thoroughly defended against Liverpool.
The Foxes took the lead in the second half as Ademola Lookman fired in a brilliant goal in the 59th minute.
With Tuesday’s defeat, Liverpool are now six points behind Manchester City with 41 points in 19 games.
Leicester remains number 9 on the EPL table with a pending game, having garnered 25 points in 18 games.
