Military calls for support from NIPR, other professional bodies

The Chief of Defence Staff Lucky Irabor has called for more support from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and other professional bodies.
In a statement Thursday, the Deputy Director, Defence Information, Wap Maigida, said Mr Irabor was speaking during a visit in Abuja by the Governing Council of the NIPR.
Mr Irabor commended the existing capacity building partnership between NIPR and DHQ, adding that the relationship would help it to shape the narratives.
Earlier, the President of NIPR, Mukhtar Sirajo, said it had with the military helped to ensure the management of the services public relations.
Mr Sirajo pledged the NIPR’s continuous collaboration with the military on relationship building and mending as well as communication and information management.
He appreciated the military for supporting NIPR’s Citizens Summit on National Integration, Peace and Security to be held across the six geo-political zones.
