Leave Igboho, Kanu alone, focus on Boko Haram, bandits, Afenifere tells Buhari

Afenifere has berated the Muhammadu Buhari regime for scheming to link Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo to terrorism.
The pan-Yoruba socio-political group accused the regime of dissipating energy on clamping down on critics of the regime and agitators for secession.
In a statement on Saturday, Afenifere spokesperson, Jare Ajayi, said the Buhari regime should focus on “confronting insecurity and economic tragedy that are fast sinking the country into an undeserved dungeon.”
The group said if a fraction of the energy being used to hound agitators and critics were “channeled into fighting insecurity and corruption, Nigeria would not be in the socio-economic and political doldrums it is in today.”
Afenifere’s statement follows a press briefing by the Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, in which he linked Mr Igboho with Boko Haram financiers.
Mr Malami also accused the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of being behind post #EndSARS violence that led to the destruction of the Oba of Lagos palace and other infrastructures in the state.
However, citing a court document, Peoples Gazette reported that the 15 suspects charged for burning down the Oba of Lagos palace were of Yoruba origin.
