A student, Feranmi Adeogun, 21, has been sentenced to six months in the Correctional Centre after pleading guilty to impersonation and internet scam.
Mr Adeogun was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Ilorin Division of the Kwara State High Court over alleged internet fraud.
The convict was among 30 internet fraud suspects arrested during a sting operation by operatives of the EFCC on September 19, 2021, at Malete, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara.

“The convict communicated with one Reus Saints, whom he induced to part with property, worth $1500, through bitcoin,’’ it said.
