Kidnapped Kaduna Catholic priest regains freedom

Abducted Catholic priest Joseph Shekari has regained his freedom.
Mr Shekari is the priest of St Monica’s Catholic Church, Ikulu Parish in Kaduna.
Mr Shekari was kidnapped on Sunday and released at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Emmanuel Okolo.
Mr Okolo thanked everyone who offered prayers for the priest’s release and prayed to God for the repose of the soul of his cook who was killed during the attack.
He directed all diocese priests to celebrate the quick release of Mr Shekari and mass for the dead for his departed cook.
