OPC nabs Fulani warlord Wakili who challenged Igboho to gun duel

Operatives of the Oduduwa Peoples Congress, OPC, have arrested a notorious Fulani arrowhead, Iskilu Wakili, said to be terrorising residents of Ibarapa and Oke-Ogun zones in Oyo State, Oyo Affairs report.
The news outlet reported that Mr. Wakili was arrested in the forest Sunday morning after a confrontation with the vigilantes led by the OPC.
He was later handed over to the state police in Aiyete for interrogation and investigation, the medium said.
Group leader Adedeji Oluwole told reporters that when the OPC members got to the forest where Mr. Wakili and his cohorts reside, they were attacked with arms but came out unhurt, leading to the arrest of Wakili and three aides.
Mr. Wakili, however, denied attacking men of OPC though one of his aides accepted owning firearms.
In the heat of the Herdsmen-Farmers tension in Ibarapaland, Mr. Wakili was reported to have challenged Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo alias Igboho to a gun battle after the latter illegally gave an ultimatum to Fulanis in the area to vacate.
State police spokesperson Olugbenga Fadeyi did not respond to calls and text messages for comments.
