The Kasuwan Nama Central Area Court sitting in Jos has dissolved the 15-year-old marriage between Shepnaan Emmanuel and his wife, Linda.

Mr Emmanuel accused his estranged wife of being hot-tempered.

In the petition, Mr Emmanuel also accused his estranged wife of abandonment.

The petitioner said he married the woman in 2007, and they got separated in 2017 because of her quarrelsome behaviour.

The divorced wife, absent at the court, sent her consent to the petitioner’s application for divorce through her lawyer.

In their judgment, presiding officials Ghazali Adam and Hyacinth Dolnanan granted the application for divorce and awarded custody of their only child to Mr Emmanuel.
