Hotelier drugged, stabbed to death; wife arrested

The police command in Lagos has arrested a hotelier’s wife for stabbing him to death over claims that he impregnated another woman.
The deceased, owner of Bama Hotel and Suites in Abule Egba, was stabbed to death on Monday night, according to the police.
Police spokesman Adekunle Ajisebutu said three other persons were arrested in connection to the death of the hotelier.
“The deceased’s wife and three others had been arrested in connection with the suspected murder case,” Mr Ajisebutu said.
He also disclosed that the deceased’s body had been deposited at the Yaba Mainland Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
“Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi has directed that the case be transferred immediately to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for diligent investigation,” he added.
According to reports, the deceased, known as Bama, was attacked in his sleep after being drugged. He had three children with his wife. They were married for eight years.
The couple, according to reports, recently returned from Dubai.
