Fire guts Ministry of Finance Abuja

A fire outbreak at the Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters Abuja triggered panic at the Central Business District on Wednesday morning.
Thick smoke could be scene on the ministry just few meters away from the Presidential Villa.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertain. However, fire fighters were seen at the scene combatting the outbreak.
The ministry via its official Twitter handle, said the situation has been brought under control.
“The Federal Ministry of Finance HQ is not on fire as reported on social media.
“Rather, there was an incident on the corridor in the basement involving an isolated battery Pack (photo inset).
“It was quickly put out by the security personnel on duty,” the Ministry tweeted.
