Emir of Jama’are in Bauchi dies at 92

The Emir of Jama’are in Bauchi State, Muhammadu Wabi III, has died at the age of 92.
Sama’ila Yusuf-Jarma, the Chairman, Jama’are Local Government Council, confirmed the death to journalists on Sunday in Bauchi.
Mr Yusuf-Jarma said that the emir died at about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a protracted illness.
He was installed emir in 1970 after the death of his father Muhammadu Wabi II.
The emir was survived by four wives, 35 children and many grandchildren.
His remains would be laid to rest today at 2:00 p.m. in Jama’are town.
