Ekiti Decides: Udom Emmanuel to chair PDP primary election committee

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom as chairman of its electoral committee to conduct a special congress for the governorship election in Ekiti.
In a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, the national organising secretary of the party, Umar Bature, said that the committee was mandated to elect a governorship candidate for the upcoming election.
Mr Bature said PDP was going well prepared to the election scheduled for June 18.
He said the National Working Committee (NWC) also approved the nomination of Toby Okechukwu, as secretary and Olusola Obada, Michael Mku, and Ibrahim Khalid as members.
He added that the congress was scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
