EFCC arrests seven for internet fraud in Benin
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in Benin, Edo State capital.
Its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Oyewale said the suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.
“Items recovered from them include one Lexus car, laptops and phones,” said the EFCC spokesman.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” he added.
