Comedian Cute Abiola regains freedom

After spending 18 days in custody of his employers, the Nigerian Navy, popular skit maker Abdulgafar Ahmad Aka Cute Abiola has regained freedom.
Confirming the development to Punch Newspaper on Friday, naval spokesman Suleman Dahun said the skit maker was no longer in detention adding that he has been released from detention to serve his punishment.
He disclosed that the skit maker who violated the armed forces’ social media law was tried for misconduct and indiscipline.
The skit maker was in November declared missing by friends and family after he was unreachable for over 24 hours.
Mr Macaroni in a statement appealed to the Nigerian Navy to confirm the skit maker’s whereabouts.
The Nigerian Navy later confirmed to Peoples Gazette that it detained the popular Instagram skit maker for violating its social media policy.
“The young man was found to have breached the social media policy while he was on leave. So he was recalled, asked to come back, but he refused until he completed his leave which is a disobedience to particular orders,” the spokesperson for the navy, Commodore Suleman Dahun,” told The Gazette.
