Akeredolu appoints Amotekun commander in Ondo special adviser

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo has appointed the Commander of the State Security Network (Amotekun Corps), Adetunji Adeleye, as his Special Adviser on Security Matters.
This is contained in a statement made available to journalists by Mr Akeredolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, on Tuesday in Akure.
According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect, while he will continue to function as the Commander of the Amotekun Corps.
“The appointment is part of the efforts of the governor to further strengthen the security arrangement and improve the working relationship between government and security agencies in the state,” it read.
Mr Akeredolu congratulated the new appointee while charging him to redouble his efforts in the fight against crime and criminalities in the state.
