2023: Osinbajo samples ‘Dior’ by Ruger to mesmerise audience at Abuja party

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday continued with his drive to appeal to young voters ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
At the 2022 United Bank for Africa Chairman’s Forum, held at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, Mr Osinbajo sampled the hit-making track ‘Dior’ by pop musician Ruger.
During his speech, Mr Osinbajo, who has declared his intention to run in next years presidential election sang the part of the lyrics that said “Bad man looking good in Dior, bad man drip to the core”.
He was heard asking the crowd how many of them knew the song, much to the delight of the attendees and the chairman of UBA, Tony Elumelu.
The video which has been reposted and shared across social media has gotten mixed reactions from young Nigerians accustomed to pandering as a campaign strategy by politicians during election.
During build-up to elections, Nigerian politicians are known to participate and perform activities that they would normally not do outside of election seasons.
In 2015, Aisha Buhari joined women traders to fry akara by the roadside, while her husband, President Mahammadu Buhari and Mr Osinbajo, were seen using satchet Milo for breakfast.
